Gelbard Tuvia
Fron a desire to contribute to a better and healthier society,Tuvia choose education as his proffesion. After army service in a combat unit, a long part of his life was spent in the Negev desert in the south of Israel.Tuvia i aman who doesn't ask what his country can give him ,but what he can give to his country. As an educator who won the top prize of education in Israel,he taught his students that an healthy society can exist only when you contribute something from yourself. In coming to the Negev,he was responding to the call of the most important leader of Israel, prime minister David Ben Gorion.
Tuvia and his wife left Netanya in the center of Israel and went to the desert ,to Dimona, making a real sacrifise of what we call "the good life"
In 1987 after 12 years there Tuvia sought another challenge, for him the ultimate challenge was to participate in building this land.He found an opportunity in Ariel.
After 5 years of leading the cultural, educational and sports activities in Ariel,he found his next challenge "Eshel Hashomron"
This incedible project and the people behind it seemed to him a good way to bring to this area believers from all over the world-to put-to put Samaria "on the map"
For Tuvia Samaria was the real place of Jwish roots.
In 1998 Tuvia Gelbard established the "Roots of Ephraim Foundation",-non profits organization which its main goal to make people understanding what are the real roots of Israel,In the last five years all the efforts of Roots of Ephraim Foundation is to raise funds and build the Garden of Biblical stories: Biblical Samaria
Since 1998 Tuvia is leading this international organisation
And in the same time participating in leading the Eshel Hashomron project.
Gilboa Tova
Life in a wealthy neighbourhood in North Tel-Aviv was very comfortable for Tova and her husband Menachem, a nice house, beautiful area, they could have lived there forever.
Tova was a journalist, which was an ideal life for most people, but not for Tova.
In 1970 she and Menachem decided to leave the good life and to settle in Ariel.
Taking care of our Land, our nation, our State this is the most important issue that we were educated on, for Tova it was very clear that their way of life must reflect this.
Tova came to an undeveloped land and a little community, to a little caravan without any normal comforts of life. She wanted to make this part of the Land , Samaria, into a blooming area, to make it a center for all Believers, to show all the world that they came back to their roots.
The way they chose was an unbelievable one: Tova and her husband Menachem decided to build in the heart of the Bible ,the first Israeli, Jewish hotel, since the Biblical times…
